I drove to Woodhall Spa around 1130hrs today and there looked to be thunderclouds building to the west - but nothing has come this way yet today.
The current "Yellow Alerts" for thunderstorms apply to Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th.

Think that band of cloud and showers that passed through and moved SE across parts of the country was the dividing line between the very hot air and the warm air. Temp isn't much higher here now under clear skies as it was under cloud earlier.

Temp dropped from 30 to 25 between 3 o clock and now and just had some light rain. Just up the road they had a shower to stop combining for a bit. Not sure the forecast for today was very accurate for this area.

I think if you are a farmer or beach goer today's forecast for a significant part of southern England might be seen as a FAIL.

After a clear sunny start it's been cloudy all afternoon with a few spots of rain.
