Heavy Weather 2013

Currently 30.1C in my living room.

That’s with my balcony door wide open. I am also suffering from a surge of mosquitos. Which mean that I’m suffering with bites as we as the heat.

It’s becoming a bit of a nightmare.

Nasty. Even at 22°C I find it it too warm at night. Can you get some form of fly screen for the balcony door? It might come in handy in the future.

Put the heating on to fry he mozzies!

I do sympathise, flats without cross ventilation and esp with large glass facades are very unsuited to hot weather.

It will be great on the winter to keep costs on heating down. If I make it to then, currently I’m a slow cook 😂

23.5C downstairs and 25C upstairs.  To keep the house warm enough because it been a bad summer this year to open the windows when outside threshold is over 22C and bring the warmth inside which often stand 19 to 20C during the prolonged bad summer pattern we had in July.

Last week it was 34C inside the living room, 31.5C in hall way and 31C in bedroom when outside was 33.9C. By evening I shut the windows to trap the heat inside and it keep the house nice and warm when outside drop fast next day.  Same yesterday was solid shut and warm inside when overcast skies and cool easterly winds.   Last time to put the heating was in July for 1 hour few times because it been so cold outside around mid teens.  To make up for poor summer i hope to see extension of warm weather in Sept and October so heating not to come on that time.

28C in my home office and the temperature surge hasn't even started as the sun isn't on this side of the house yet. Going to be toasty this afternoon!

Just got in from work.... 29.5 in the bedroom, 31.3 in the back bedroom, 27 in the kitchen, 27 in the dining room and 27.9 in the shed.

The car was reading between 32 and 29 on the way home. The w/s says 29.7 and I suspect it's actually around 28 out there.

It's also pretty humid with it.

Home office update: just touched 30C. I am meant to be on holiday this week but couldn't turn down a bit of overtime!

Update: the Virgin Media TV box has shut down with an "overheated" message

Another increment today: 25.1 in kitchen, 27.0 on hall floor, 28.5 upstairs. When and at what level will it peak? This is now the hottest it’s been since we moved into the house in 2011. Previously July 2013 held the record (worse than July 2018 as warmer nights and less wind).

23c downstairs and 25c upstairs this morning, last night was a bit uncomfortable, but overall this spell has been quite comfortable here as apart from yesterday we have not experienced very high temps. Today will be hot here and tonight likely uncomfortable though.
