There has been the odd shower dotted around here but so far, nothing has impacted this part of Edinburgh where I live because we just don't normally get any "interesting" weather in this part of the world.
There has been a bit more in the way of sunshine towards the latter part of the day but in the end, a total of just 1.9 hours of sunshine was recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank.
This means that a minimum total of 4.9 or more hours of sunshine still need to be recorded during the last three days of this month at Edinburgh Gogarbank in order for this month to go down as being sunnier than average overall at that particular station.
In addition to that that, the temperatures have also refused to rise during most of today. Today's officially recorded maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 8.5°C, but that was actually recorded during the latter part of this morning and since then, the temperatures have actually been dropping (it's a real shame that this never really happened very often at night during the winter, otherwise we wouldn't have had such an abysmally low number of air frosts then).
Meanwhile, the temperature at 7pm this evening was around 4°C here in Edinburgh.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
