Warmer dewpoints in the SE very noticable.

Should decrease this afternoon though for those hoping for snow.

A random beefy snow shower has passed through here, a bit inland, in Hertfordshire.

1048mb here which is the highest I can remember yet the weather is horrible. Never seen such poor weather at 1040mb+ as this weekend has produced.

Once again it is the nasty unpleasant wind which is as bad as if it were 970mb. Just never lets up any more. If a high pressure cell of almost 1050mb can't get rid of it then what can?

Was even raining yesterday - a horrible nasty icy rain that did briefly give a snow flurry and the only day with snow/sleet this month which is a disgrace when combined with the entire absence of anything warm or pleasant. Had more snow during last years far warmer and sunnier March.

Nothing remotely cold either other than the rotten wind. Min of 1.6C and hasn't gone below freezing since the 20th. Awful spell of weather

Big question, will any showers develop in situ over the next hour or two as a direct result of solar heating (i.e not the lake effect)

Just got back from a walk on the common. Several brief snow showers, proper snowflakes visible on my jacket where they landed. Last couple of showers were more rain though.

Pressure at 12 noon was 1048.7mb at Edinburgh Gogarbank, but is now steady and no longer going up. This means that it is probably as high as it is going to get.

With that, we continue to be the most boring part of the UK with absolutely nothing happening, and with no real sense of any sort of actual "weather".

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Comfortably below zero now here - dewpoint wise, that is - but of course the clouds have now evaporated.

Went to my beach hut at Walmer....mistake, NE winds nearly ripped the door off and splintered wood as it swung back.  Showers of graupel  pummelling the hut as it shuddered in the gusts with spray and spume from the Downs (the area of sea between the Goodwin Sands and the east coast), desiccating in the air as the waves crashed onto the beach brow.

Sheltered in the hut awhile before shutting up shop.  Chose thence to walk in a nearby wood, much more sensible, but a whole degree colder at 120m asl with the high lapse rate, but infinitely more comfortable with trees providing shelter and bluebells juxtaposed by melting soft hail was a sight out of the 1980's.

Back in Dover, currently 5.0 c, dp a chilly -3.6.

Just did a quick lamp watch and I can still make out the odd flakes flit by under the LED lighting. I've been seeing the odd wintry/snow grain showers off and on all day but also some good sunny spells.

That's the second time this year the UK has recorded over 1050 mbar following a similar reading in January. You then have to go back to January 1957 for such a high reading.

I managed to get all my remaining rotten fence posts replaced yesterday. Fixing the panels back into place was an interesting experience with the wind - I nearly broke the stay at home rule involuntarily by hang-gliding off down the road laughing
