Predictably windy and wet here - I've not ventured out yet.
No flood warnings in our immediate area [River Witham], but the River Bain catchment/Horncastle has a Flood Alert.

As Jerry has indicated, it is very windy here in Edinburgh just now with maximum wind gusts at Edinburgh Gogarbank getting up to 54.1mph from the SW as at 7am this morning.

The skies are generally clear with a few clouds especially to my north, but there has been some further showers during the night which has added a further 1.0 mm of rain onto the latest rainfall total at Edinburgh Gogarbank, but along with just 0.4 mm at the botanic gardens as at 7am this morning.

Last night's officially recorded overnight minimum temperature was 5.4°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 5.6°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh. The temperatures have dropped to a little bit below those reported minimums since then, but it still isn't the least bit cold for this time of year and so, our frost-free horror show goes on as has been the case virtually throughout this so-called "winter".

Meanwhile, , the temperature at 7am this morning was around 4°C here in Edinburgh.

EDIT:

The Sun has also just come out as I write.

Overcast with moderate rain. It’s been a mixture of drizzle or rain since 16:00 yesterday before that it was torrential from 09:00.

The wind is strong/gale SW gusting 55-60mph, mild with a temp of 9.6c.

it looks like we’ve got another pulse of heavy rain before it slowly clears away.

Main rain is over with 31.2mm since yesterday morning.
Not outrageous except it was often in torrential bands driven by winds over 60mph.
Cooling down as clear spells move in, 4.8C currently

Low cloud cover, moderate W wind, not raining now.

11.6*C; 992.9mb steady.

Rainfall yesterday came to 12.7mm plus 16.5mm so far today gives a total of 29.2mm from storm Dennis at the moment.  The worst wind seems to have been overnight, with gusts around 55mph, though I did go out yesterday evening and got caught in one at the time when 45mph gusts were being recorded.

Wow

That squal running across northwest england and wales just now packed a punch.

It was lovely and sunny as we were walking along New Brighton promenade. Watching waves. Wind about 30mph.... average seaside gale....

Bang.. wind shot up to about 70mph... we couldnt stand up, people walking at 45 degrees just barely able to move. Then the hail hit us... like someone with a machine gun.

A squal unhindered straight off the sea.

No shelter... we just had to hunker down, stand and take it. How we werent blown away ill never know. Was a struggle.

Still cloudy with something of a brisk westerly breeze here at Folkestone but it's stopped raining with 14.0 mm in all for today. Sadly the clearance is coming too late to give me any last minute brightness.
