It's St. Valentine's Day today, but I don't think I can say that there is anything too romantic about today's weather.
Today started off with official air frost being recorded at Edinburgh Gogarbank and Edinburgh Airport under clear skies during the very hours of this morning.
However, it has now cluded over a bit. The wind has picked up and with that, the temperatures have jumped up by quite a lot as well.
Last night's minimum temperature was -0.4°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and +0.4°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh, although it did get down to around or possibly below -1°C at Edinburgh Airport.
However, the temperature at 8am this morning had now jumped up to around 6°C here in Edinburgh.
Today is therefore the second day in a row where an official air frost has been recorded here, which has then failed to hang around until I got up which is very frustrating indeed.
