At long long last, I finally get to report that we have clear skies and light winds here in Edinburgh and as a result of that, we finally at long long last, actually have an official air frost at Edinburgh Gogarbank and Edinburgh Airport.
Given tha manner in which this so-called "winter" has gone, it wouldn't surprise me if this was no longer the case when I wake up later on this morning as a result of it having clouded over again and indeed, the temperature at Edinburgh has gone back up to just above freezing as at midnight.
Nevertheless, this has now finally brought our ridiculously long frost free horror show to an end in its 26th night, technically speaking at least.
Meanwhile, the temperature here in Edinburgh at around midnight was around 0°C.
