Yet again, normal service has been resumed here in Edinburgh as the presence of too much wind and too much cloud resulted in the temperatures refusing to drop here during last night.
The result of this is that despite the pressure still being very high at 1042.5mb at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 8am this morning, we have once again returned to our usual frost-free horror show which we have had to endure throughout just about all of this complete virtual non-event that is known as our "winter".
On top of that, we have also entered into yet another winter borefest with yet more constant grey skies, and with nothing which is even remotely interesting in terms of our weather actually happening, and it is also mild with a temperature of around 7°C as at 8am this morning which means that the temperatures actually went up a bit here during the course of last night, instead of dropping.
For that reason, I see no point in posting anything in the CC threads just now until such time that this situation changes because just now, I couldn't even bear to look at those posts which are in there from English members who are gloating about how cold and frosty it is in their neck of the woods and then, dressing that up as though this was what it was like across the whole country because just like our mainstream English-biased so-called "UK" media, they can't see that the country does actually extend further than the south of England and the Watford Gap.
I did say that this so-called "frosty" period under high pressure would end up being mostly an England-only event and even though that rather unexpectedly didn't quite end up being the case at this time during yesterday morning, I then said that this would still end up being the case from last night onwards, and it would appear as though this is now exactly what has happened.
