The worst and most depressing weekend of the summer half of the year. Nothing but soul destroying windy grey sunless garbage that is stripping all the warmth out of the house  Even the ghastly second weekend of June managed some sun.

A disgusting windy, grey 11.1C at the moment. Totally unacceptable this early in the autumn. Yet again barely any higher than the vile min of 9.9C and it's dropped below 9.5C just once in the past week. No wonder there is no sign of the leaves changing colour which there should be at this time of year

A fabulous start to the day Ian; on for a 26 I should say at your end.

19.2 here but the sun feels intense.

Edit: shot up a whole degree in less than 20 minutes. 20.2°C

It's dribbled back to 20.2 c on account of a mod onshore type SW breeze, but still gorgeous unbroken sunshine. I'd still be happy if this was in July.

We are in the rain belt now near Lincoln - not heavy yet but steady rain.
Expected to last past midnight. See Rain Radar.
