Not much happening here in Edinburgh as per usual, as yet another late summer borefest has set in once again in this part of the world.

There is a lot of cloud around and it is breezy with only the odd bit of sunshine at times just now.

Last night's overnight minimum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 12.4°C and the temperature at 7am this morning was around 13°C.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Just had a passing shower which gave us 0.4 mm (on top of the 0.6 from last night). Sun is back out again, beaming directly into my famed west-facing hobby room as it sets.

17.0 c & 81% h but the fresh W wind appears to be easing off now.

A very typical summer setup today with largely sunny skies and a moderate to fresh SW'ly wind within 5 miles of the coast with heavy showers a few miles inland. A shower on a more southerly track around 6pm dampened the ground and gave 0.2mm.

Max today was 21.4c.
