Damp and autumnal out there. The weather almost certainly conditioned my reading of the models this morning - funny how that happens.

I got up early for a dental appointment. Trod in some very wet dog dirt on the way. Mix up at the dentist with my appointment so I walked home again. Now feeling quite warm and humid.

Rather cloudy and breezy with light rain. Properly damp after a useful and much needed 32 mm of rain fell last night, even spotted a flash of lightning or two.

The current 18.1 c & 96% h are feeling cool in a brisk SW wind.

Overnight rain with some further showery bursts which were around well into this morning have cleared away for now to leave us with a lot of cloud and a few sunny intervals.

Currently around 18°C here in Hawick.

Located in the most boring part of the UK when it comes to our weather where hardly anything ever happens which is even remotely interesting in terms of our weather (other than yet more constant grey skies), and with the more interesting weather usually always occurring elsewhere in the UK apart from here.

Low cloud cover breaking to allow sunny intervals; fresh W wind; 19.1mm of very welcome rain overnight (the first for 24 days since 25th June).

20*C; 90%RH.

1005.1mb steady.

I've been out of circulation this week, having been in hospital for an op to remove my gall bladder, but everything seems to be mending well.

We had a few heavy showers a short while ago, but the rain radar map shows that we should be in the clear from now on.

Currently around 19°C here in Hawick.

Nice to have you back and good to hear you’re mending.  My sis had that op a few years ago and has never looked back!

Just had twenty minutes of heavy squally rain but it’s now much calmer and the sun’s back out.

Bright and breezy after earlier rain and it looks like it should be fresh, but it’s not. Really clammy and oppressive. Officially DP is only 12C at London city. My backgarden DP is 14.4C. Perhaps it’s just because I’ve been running about.

Thanks Caz!

Turned into a very pleasant day here at 22*C and 70%RH, with some broken cloud, plenty of sunshine and a surprisingly fresh W wind.

The rest of today has been dry with increasing amounts of sunshine which has now taken us into a clear night.

Today was fairly breezy, but warm later on with a maximum temperature of about 21°C.

Currently around 14°C here in Hawick with a cooler and fresher feel to things.
