Here in Edinburgh, we are currently witnessing something which we haven't seen for quite a while and that is a bright and sunny start to this morning. The result of this is that a total of 2.5 hours of sunshine has already been recorded for today so far today at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 8am this morning which is already more than the entire days's total for any of the previous days from last Saturday onwards.

However, a total of 0.2 mm of rain has been recorded for today so far as well at Edinburgh Gogarbank along with 0.2 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh as at 8am this morning.

In addition to that, last night was cooler than of late and so last night's minimum temperature was 5.8°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 4°C at Edinburgh Airport and 5.5°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was around 9°C.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

A lot of various cirrus, including patches of cirrostratus and 'mares tails' with a few altocumulus below, making an interesting cloudscape this morning; calm, dry.

14*C; 59%RH feeling chilly, with low humidity again.

1022.4mb steady.

Good conditions for more gardening.

While there are a bit more in the way of high cloud today, it's still pleasantly fair and dry. While the current 15 c & 75% h aren't going to break any May heat records, it is feeling comfortably mild in light winds anyway.
