Just found this video on Youtube of someone driving through that surprise snowfall in St Austell, Cornwall 31st Jan 2019 (just to the north!).

Extraordinary. Had to check the date that it wasn't the first of April.

2 miles west of Taunton, 32 m asl, where "milder air moving in from the west" becomes SNOWMAGEDDON.
Well, two or three times a decade it does, anyway.
