unfortunately most of our daffs couldn't take the weight of 4inches of snow and snapped so they are a very sorry state today.

No such problems here as there is little evidence of imminent daffodil flowering. The snowdrops are hanging on nicely in the garden though.

That happened to me one year in the early 80s when we lived near Maidstone. I had all the garden produce ready for the village show  but decided to leave the daffs until the morning of the show as they'd be fresh. 4 inches of snow overnight, goodbye daffs - and that was in April!

The daffs here have perked up now the snow has gone from the garden. I was surprised though on a visit to the coast just how much snow there was in drifts high up.
