Not strictly webcam related but sort of.....

With today's technology and social media, snow events in the UK will be impressive viewing on the live streams many people seem to do now on social media.

View From the Drivers Cab

Some of these from Norway are quite interesting. The first one not live but well worth a watch as are some of the related ones.

You really need to sit in front of a large TV widescreen in the dark with a glass of wine or whatever to really appreciate it. The only soundtrack is the train and various hoots. If you have sound surround you really feel like you are in the drivers cab. No muzak or other distractions which I found great. Interesting to see where  the snowline starts at fjord level and gets deeper as the train ascends.

This one is apparently live. Mike from Pompey might like it. Plenty of snow as I see it now. But it will depend where the train is.

No way is that live as it will be dark in Norway now. Deleted

No snow to be seen, but our live 360 webcam is now streaming live from Gibraltar - winter views may include gales, heavy rain and lightning at times.....oh, and the odd plane! :)

Just had a peek into Earthcam's view of New York as Storm Grayson passes close by. They seem to have all the luck, don't they?

I have just received one of Spaceweather's Bulletins. They write:
Lights Over Lapland is excited to announce that we now have TWO aurora webcams covering nearly a 200° view of Abisko National Park in Sweden!
Watch the auroras dance live, all season long here.

No county (Lincolnshire) has better churches and worse houses. The poorer sort of people wash their clothes with hog's dung, and burn dried cow's dung for want of better fuel; whence comes the Lincolnshire proverb: "Where the hogs shite soap and the cows shite fire".

Interesting to see northern Norway Tromso is entering the period when daylight is fast increasing.

Looks beautiful this morning and even at 5.35am the sun is already lighting up the mountains.

Here's one from North Iceland. When I went there there were no trees.

Looked Christmas cardy this morning with the lights.

The lens could do with a wipe perhaps.

Marmot ski center (near Jasper, AB) in Canada had a great new 360° camera https://skimarmot.roundshot.co

As I write this it has briefly gone offline but on a clear day it is a fabulous view.
