Thanks GW for organising this! I am shocked by how much I won the competition by, though can't help thinking it was because Gusty threw it away. With a different prediction he would have won.

If anyone is wondering what my technique is; well it's just guessing mixed with a bit of what the ensembles are showing for the next couple of weeks and some extrapolation. Nothing clever at all!

Thanks for all you do GW, that silly summer month prediction got me otherwise i could have been top five.

Well done Darren, a derserved winner cool.

To be honest I gambled in the last month. On the 30th November when my prediction was made I genuinely thought the CET would hang around 8.3c meaning that I would have needed to close a 0.7 or 0.8c deficit. I was shocked when the corrected CET ended being adjusted upwards to 8.58c. Meaning that the difference between us was negligable.

When all said a done without the gamble I would have opted for 4.2c meaning that you would have won in any case.

Thanks GW, an excellent competition, long may it continue. laughing

Big thanks from me as well GW for all the hard work you've put in running the competition.

My first year and I've really enjoyed it; managed to get into the top half by the end which isn't too disastrous for a total novice!

What taking part has really brought home to me is no matter how scientific the forecasting devices are, to forecast in the UK more than 5-7 days ahead is little more than a guess

Here's to 2015...good luck everyone and enjoy!
