To be honest all I could manage was to glance up from my work and throw a number at GW from the top of my head... my lifestyle sure has changed over the past two months!

I don't envy you. Plenty of coursework?

I'm busy too but not after 5pm. Nice to have my evenings back and free of essays etc

You think YOU'RE too high?

I was thinking a wet month, with certainly the first two-thirds dominated by zonal-type weather, temps typically with a narrow day-night range (8-14c) in the main, perhaps cooling off as the month end approached.

Pah!

That just shows how much of a north-south split in temps there's been these past few days. BBC weather yesterday showed a graphic illustrating the differences either side of the cold front that straddled around the Midlands yesterday afternoon - 16c to the south, 8c to the north

After a fairly average start to the month temperature wise there is a dip this weekend before things move slightly above average again. Overall by the end of the third week current forecasts suggest the CET will be exactly in line with the 1971-2000 average.

There is some talk on this site of November 2013 being similar to 2010. So far the two months have been completely different temperature wise. However, by the 22nd we may find both years at a similar figure close to the mean. The question is what will happen in the last week of the month.

The chart below includes November 2010 for reference purposes.
