Yes as soon as I say no improvement in sight ECM gives us a lovely run. It's been quite poor recently in the 7 to 10 day period but hopefully it's onto something.

Yes, the ECM op looks somewhat better this morning compared to yesterday evening's run.

Well the Ecm mean is pretty poor in comparison so hopefully it's a case of the ensembles following the Op.

Great to see GFS bringing high pressure in by this time next week

Hopefully, this will continue to show over the coming days

Interesting (well, great for me) to see a notably cold Monday is on the cards.

GFS down here has been showing highs of 7C or 8C, whereas MetO's been varying between a high of just 5C to its current 8C. It looks like there's some cold upper air nearby, too, with the 12z GFS run showing a large pool of -5C 850s over much of England:

http://images.meteociel.fr/im/8812/96-7UK_hka6.GIF

As expected, the depth of the cold pool is varying between model runs on both GFS and MetO (and the other suites too). This morning it was showing it to be cold enough for possible snow over the North and South Downs (as per the written MetO forecast this morning), although the mention of snow has gone from the afternoon update. FWIW, the forecast for Monday morning has gone from 3C with heavy rain to 6C with heavy rain on the latest update down here.

Even without the risk of snow it's going to feel pretty cold, especially compared to the unseasonable warmth last weekend!

Ok Darren. I won't begrudge you one last blast of your ideal weather and a cold blast as long as you don't begrudge us summer lovers a nice 6 week long heatwave in June and July when you are sweating your proverbials off 😂😂😊👍

Excellent. Need the temp to come down a bit more, just to make sure.

GFS now on board with ECM for an improving picture next week. Not looking too shabby at the moment for the bank holiday weekend.

Yes quite a remarkable flip in the weather from winter to summer in about 5 days. Highs of 5c on Monday 30th maybe 25c Saturday 5th.

What a strange spring it's been so far. It feels like we've moved over to the other side of the Atlantic and are getting weather more akin to somewhere like Nova Scotia!

Its been a fascinating Spring thus far and now we’re approaching the latter part of it it’s time to look forward to some proper warm sunny weather. Who wants warm and sunny weather in March/April only to see it all swept away once we get into the latter stages of spring and beyond.

Hope ya'll don't mind me asking you this, but is anyone having trouble with getting the latest EURO4 update on weatheronline? I know other short range models are available but E4 is my favourite go-to model as things stand.
