Yes as Weatherfan and Duane have reported, a pretty big cell moving eastwards across South Cheshire at the moment. Looks like there's some pretty frequent lightning in it too:

I'm not sure why every image I post gets crushed up..?

The capped environment is slowly eroding from the west, so we are seeing isolated storms firing now. A look on vis sat shows a potential line of cells forming from NE of Brum down to Chelmsford.

Looking like that activity around Congerstone and surrounding areas should reach you, Duane

The sun is out and the rain is easing but with hail mixed in.

Nasty little storm that was.

Almost continuous distant rumbling from my north now. The line of cells managed to squeeze past just to my west with only one short lived shower here. Very dramatic sky looking west. Nothing to my east.

Impressive anvil just creeping towards us now, quite a bit of mammatus can be seen too.  In the far southern sky I can also see the top of the storm much further south towards Nottingham.

EDIT:  And very suddenly the clouds disintegrate, with virtually no trace of the storm that was approaching!

That was a nasty little storms with large hail mixed in with that tropical rain.

Sun is now out and feeling a little fresher than it did.

Having said the above a whole new line has formed to my east. The sun is shining here - stuck in the middle as usual. Clear and sunny to the south west - so I guess that's it for here for now!

Constant rumbling from a storm over the southern Peaks earlier this afternoon. The thunderhead spread right over Sheffield and gave us a few big drops of rain as it pummelled Chesterfield. Good to see from afar though!

Another cell out west at the moment - nothing compared to the excitement around Cambridge at the moment but it might give us a last hurrah. Still very muggy and warm!

In the words of Baldrick, "Boom, boom, boom, boom". Near continuous thunder and heavy rain to our south that has wiped out our tv satellite signal. Looks to be pouring down near Ipswich.

At 18.05hrs I could see a distant anvil on the northern horizon. A check of the radar suggested it was from the cell north of Colchester -  62 miles away !

Parts of Suffolk look like they are really taking a hammering!

THere are a few isolated cells up north at the moment but nothing overly close to here.
