Met Office Hadley  put up their    CET late today..   4.0c.   Anomaly  0.6c.   Provisional to 1st.

For the record... I estimated the CET for the first week from the GFS output over the final few days of February, and it gave an average of  3.0*C for the CET 1st-2nd March.


...which means it's failed miserably

It has actually been a slightly cooler than average start to the month due to some cold nights. Much warmer today though and the CET will shoot up in the next few days. Thereafter the CET rise is likely to stop due to some further chilly nights.


Overall by the 20th I am currently expecting the CET to be around 7C which is about 1C above average. So nothing exceptional but certainly on the mild side.
