Conclusion:

September 2022 was yet another warmer than average month, but not by much and the overnight minimum temperatures actually came out very close to average, even though we haven't yet had any ground frosts during this season so far.

As far as rainfall is concerned, how last month is seen depends very much on how we determine how wet or dry any month or season actually is.

In terms of actual rainfall amounts, September 2022 was our first wetter than average month since February 2022, and our wettest month since then.

However, that rainfall only really came in a couple of short bursts and this meant that September was actually drier than average in terms of the number of official rain days yet again.

Finally, September 2022 was a slightly duller than average once again and so, August 2022 continues to be our only sunnier than average month since March 2022.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
