What is the TV forecast for tha?. I can see it moving up steadily on the radar in real time but no rain showing for today for London on, for example, GFS ensembles?

The wind as well as desiccating the plants did a good job at stripping the leaves off trees too.

The forecast location and intensity of today's storms has been varying wildly. For instance MetO was giving Chichester a miss yesterday; today it's showing 70% chance of heavy rain 1200-1400.

Didn't register as a lightning strike on lightningmaps.org which is a very accurate predict for thunder being heard so cloud to cloud?

We had a very nearby thundercrack just after 1pm, and a torrential downpour, but I forgot to check the lightning map.
Just a distant rumble late afternoon to the south from what seems to have been a busy area from Southampton to Portsmouth and Petersfield
Nothing here but my brother reported storms in Letchworth area today, here just too cold and cloudy to develop one but was dark clouds to the SE of here.
Didn't hear anything here so presume this must have been to the south or west of you!
