Today was as bland and boring as it can possibly be here, and added up to just one massive permacast hell with absolutely no actual weather happening.
There has been absolutely no rainfall here as yet another weather front has broken up and disintegrated whilst in the process of reaching here and yet again, that much needed rain just isn't getting to those parts here in SE Scotland where it is needed the most.
Yet, it has remained relentlessly overcast with not even the slightest hint of brightness all day so as at 7pm BST (18:00 UTC) this evening, absolutely nothing in the way of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank.
This means that unless there is some late brightness before sunset, today will go down as our second completely sunless day of this month and that is now looking odds on to be the case with only around 2 hours or so to go until sunset and still no signs of any brightness.
According to RichardAbdn, this month has been the sunniest month of the year up in Aberdeen as he confirmed yesterday, yet our chances of that being the case here as well are now fading very quickly.
Even the temperatures aren't exactly exciting with today's maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank reaching 17°C which isn't even all that warm for this time of the year.
Meanwhile, the temperature at 7pm BST (18:00 UTC) this evening was around 17°C here in Edinburgh.
