Indeed. It's looking much more unsettled next week but if anything it turns milder as a result. At least for a few days.

...eerrr....Maybe because its a competition - and he is in it to win it (for a change ;-))

So looking at his guesstimate he will want a cool down in the final third or quarter.

Latest CET tracker shows the CET peaking at 12.6C on the 20th before falling away.

Currently my estimate is running some 0.5C below the Hadley estimate.

We could potentially see a record CET mean on Tuesday 19th with something close to 16.5C being forecast.

By the 29th I am expecting the CET to be down to 11.72C. So no 12C+ October this year by the looks of it. We will be about 1C above average but nothing exceptional.

Looking good for those who predicted around 11.6C at the moment. Our top two in the competition should be very happy as should a certain Mr Snow.....

I went for 11.5C so that should help me a lot - I'm almost at the bottom of the table.

I think most of us will be looking for a cool down judging by the prediction chart.

This month is pleasing me both from a competition perspective and also from the fact that I have not at any stage been remotely tempted to turn the heating on.

Ah! Good point.  I thought I was on the Model output page.  My bad.

You are still a load of weidos though....

Edit: Not seeing any sign of a cooldown myself.

I wonder what the coldest 24 hour CET period in October is - I bet it's below 0C.
