Today isn't as hot as yesterday here in Edinburgh, but this is still turning out to be yet another reasonably warm day.
If you could see our see our weather just now, it would be very difficult to believe that the yellow warning for thunderstorms in this area which was recently issued by the Met Office has now been upgraded to an amber warning.
The clouds have broken up a lot since this morning with some sunshine at times, and the latest rain radar maps continue to show that there isn't even a single bit of precipitation in sight for miles on end from this part of the world.
In other words, this is just the same old story yet again which we have had for several weeks now, where our weather just will not change one single bit from one day to the next, regardless of the actual forecast and regardless of any official warnings which the Met Office might want to dish out in our direction, so this is going to go down as one big massive fail by the Met Office and the various models if these conditions continue to persist for the rest of today.
Meanwhile, the temperature at 1pm this afternoon was around 19°C here in Edinburgh.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
