Dusting of wet snow here after a passing shower, temp at 0.7c

Here in the north of Edinburgh, there still a bit of lying snow around which is left over from Storm Christoph despite the temperatures getting up to around 5°C which isn't even all that cold for this time of the year.

Everything is freezing over again now though in the manner in which Jerry has just described with an official air frost already being recorded at Edinburgh Airport.

The temperature here in Edinburgh as at 6pm this evening was more generally around 1°C, but down to -1°C at Edinburgh Airport.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Nice to see snow falling - still some rain mixed in but more snow than sleet i'd say

After what has been a bright and fair day with good winter sunshine, it has clouded over with light spitty rain. Just a gentle west breeze.

Currently 6.7 c which is actually today's max.
