Once again, normal service has been resumed here in Edinburgh with a return to overcast skies, and no actual weather happening as per usual.

Even with that, last night was still rather chilly for this time of the year, but it was milder than the preceding night, so no air frost this time.

With that in mind, last night's overnight minimum temperature was 3.3°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 3.7°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 7am this morning was around 5°C here in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

The 7th crap day in a row for our local Monday Holiday. Cold, grey and unpleasantly windy garbage yet again

8.7C following a pitiful 4.7C min that will rank amongst the mildest in the country. Coastal extremes in the SW probably the only other places that haven't dropped below 4C this month. That's how pitiful the climate here has become. Nothing of interest ever happens.

That's all four public holidays that have been dire this year (Easter Monday, VE day, July and now September). One of many reasons why this vile year will rank amongst the very worst. Absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever. A relentless onslaught of worthless, tedious dross

At currently 14.2 c, it is "milder" than yesterday and we've lost that nagging northerly wind but is still very "m'eh" with low cloud making for grey overcast skies and feeling damp & clammy.
