29 c & 60% h under full sunshine at 12 pm here at my coastal location, but there is something of a mod NE breeze providing some relief. Ideal for dust devil spotting if one is in the countryside.

Temperature rise a bit slow to get off the mark compared to Friday but it is now increasing at a very similar rate at around three degrees an hour. Currently 27.2C. It actually feels worse than Friday when it was 34C because the humidity is much higher than then.

Very thin high cloud but mainly clear skies at the moment. We might hit the low to medium 30s, I guess.

28c here at 12.00, could be on for another 30c + day here near Folkestone , which would make three in a row.

29.8C

All cloud now gone, no sign of increase flattening yet, albeit the rate of increase quite abruptly changed to 2.5C per hour before carrying on at that rate

31.4 c with humidity in the low 50%s under near unbroken sunshine. The NE breeze is like a hairdryer killing off any tiny bit of green left on my lawn.

Cool and windy here! Too chilly to sit out today. 17 C but with a force 5 NE wind straight off the North Sea!

Well, so much for that really warm weekend which we were supposed to get (it is true that the real heat was always going to be down south, but it was still supposed to get quite warm here as well).

Instead of that, today has been much cloudier than yesterday with a total of just 6.1 hours of sunshine at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 6pm this evening.

With a cool wind coming in from off the North Sea as well, the temperature has got no higher than around 18°C here in Edinburgh which isn't even the least bit "warm" for this time of the year now.

Meanwhile, the temperature here in Edinburgh was around 16°C at 6pm this evening.

Genuinely the closest I’ve felt in the UK. Really really humid but quite wonderful on the garden. Ask me again when I’m running tomorrow!

A very sunny weekend but not even warm never mind a heatwave. Average temperatures only with a max of 19.6C yesterday and 17.5C today but felt adequate in the sun. Also cool at night with single figure minima, as has been the case all summer, with a min of 7.6C this morning.

Nevertheless the 5th decent Sunday out of six so a good chance this will now be only the third summer in 14 years not to fall foul of the 'Weekend Curse'.
