Given how wet this summer has been so far in many parts of the country, this thread might end up being quite busy and since we are in an unsettled period just now, this is a good time to start here.

2.1 mm Fell this morning whilst walking to the local Post Office.  Soaked all the way through.

Between approx 9am and 9.30am this morning, the 1st day of July, we had 3 times as much rain as fell during the whole of May

I was expecting a fair bit more today but a lot of the rain seemed to fizzle out over the Pennines. That usually drives me nuts but even I've had my fill of rain for a few days.

Annoys me too especially in winter when I love a good rainfall. We just  up with intermittent drizzle  or light rain. 


At least the sun came out for a bit today, been a depressing start to July.
