Between approx 9am and 9.30am this morning, the 1st day of July, we had 3 times as much rain as fell during the whole of May

I was expecting a fair bit more today but a lot of the rain seemed to fizzle out over the Pennines. That usually drives me nuts but even I've had my fill of rain for a few days.

Annoys me too especially in winter when I love a good rainfall. We just  up with intermittent drizzle  or light rain. 


At least the sun came out for a bit today, been a depressing start to July.
