.. and of course, I am also looking forward to being allowed to enjoy this lovely weather by sitting in a park or on a beach as from tomorrow, which is something which English people are already allowed to do.

Anyway and back on topic, a mostly sunny day from the middle part of this morning onwards means that in the end, a total of 11.3 hours of sunshine was recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

This means a minimum total of just another 5.5 hours of sunshine now needs to be recorded during the last three days of this month, in order for this month to go down as being sunnier than average at that particular station and given the way that our weather is just now, we should be able to get over that finishing line quite easily during tomorrow.

Today's maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 24.6°C which makes today, our warmest day of this year so far at all three of my local stations.

Even at 9pm this evening, it was still very warm for this time of the day with the temperature still up at around 20°C here in Edinburgh which is something which doesn't even normally happen here during the actual summer itself (even our hottest days of the entire year usually end with the temperature dropping to just below 20°C by this time of the evening).

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
