Horrendous and depressing. Deeply concerning that Iberia no longer seems to have reliably good weather in what should still be peak holiday season. Although it usually rains hard when it does, it's not usually until October onwards.
Must be one of the worst years of weather on record there. I was in Northern Portugal in July and low cloud off the Atlantic was extensive stretching into Spain. Numerous days saw considerable cloud in Spain as well which I wouldn't expect away from the North coast at that time of year.
June had been even worse with inland areas of Northern Portugal seeing day temperatures of only 12C with heavy rain and it deteriorated again in late July after I was back home with rain, cloud and struggling to get into the 20s.
