A nice, bright and sunny start to this morning here in Edinburgh.

Also quite warm as the temperature here in Edinburgh was around 16°C at 6am this morning.

Our bright and sunny start to today didn't last for long, as it has now clouded over with this morning very quickly descending into yet another dull and overcast borefest with constant grey skies, and with nothing which is even remotely interesting in terms of our weather actually happening.

Last night's overnight temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank has now been officially confirmed as 15.3°C, so last night was fairly warm and sticky which is clearly a sign of things to come during the next few days.

Awful start to the supposed warm spell with rank cloudy skies yet again. 17.1C following a vile min of 14.3C.

Not got high hopes for the coming days at all. The rotten cloudy gunk is just relentless.
