Cloudy wet (again) frequent blustery showers driving in. What is it with mornings recently, can't seem to get a dry one.

There has been a little bit of overnight rain followed by the odd shower. This meant that in the end, a total of 1.8 mm of rain fell during yesterday at Edinburgh Gogarbank along with 1.2 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh and whilst that isn't very much, this does mean that yesterday will go down as yet another official rain day as a result.

During today though, a total of just 0.2 mm of rain has been recorded for today so far at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh thanks to an earlier brief passing shower as at 7am this morning along with nothing at all at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

This morning has started off with a lot of cloud around once again, but also some sunshine at times and so, a total of 6 minutes of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 7am this morning.

Last night was a bit milder than of late with an overnight minimum temperature of 13.9°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 7am this morning was around 14°C.

Some cirrus and fragments of low cloud but mostly sunny, fresh W wind, dry.

17.4*C (minimum 14.8*C at 6.15am); 84%RH.

1008.1mb rising slowly.

Rainfall total yesterday was 7.1mm, which was welcome for the garden, but it was a dreary, dismal, drizzly mode of delivery.

A much more brighter afternoon with extended sunny periods, thus the current 23.6 c & 55% h under light winds are feeling more summer-like for it. Quite different to what it was like this time yesterday.
