So after all that extraordinary heat... something equally exceptional may occur; my estimate being within a couple of hundredths of the actual CET .


Some much overdo luck - and now August approaches with a lack of clear signals. Hmm, that sounds familiar .

I know Pershore is one? Rothamsted maybe?

Listed stations Are Pershore College -Malvern - Rothhamsted - Squires Gate - Stoneyhurst.

Looking at the confirmed data for July, a number of CET records look to have gone last month



  1. The All time maximum CET on 25th July 2019 was 34.1C which beats the previous record of 33.2 on 3rd July 1976 and 3rd Aug 1990

  2. The All time Mean CET on 25th July 2019 was 25.2C which ties the previous record on 29th July 1948

  3. The 2 day change in Maximum CET from 25th to 27th July was 16.6C (34.1 to 17.5C) which is a record drop (or rise) for 2 days
