Heard some reports from london airport of 20mm hail off that cell but radar doesn't have it that potent looking?

Did throw out some lightning though!

Line of showery stuff just passed over us and has left hills slightly white, though only been 1mm it was vicious for a minute or two.
Nice clearance line behind it and wind has dropped out, will be icy I expect.

The skies have become much clearer over time since my last report and so a bright and sunny end to today (something which we haven't had here for quite a while) means that in the end, a total of 4.0 hours of sunshine was recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

The winds are much lighter than of late and under those much clearer skies which we now have, the temperatures are also dropping away.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8pm this evening was 4.3°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 5°C at Edinburgh Airport and 5.7°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
