A fair day with partial cloud and sunny breaks. A somewhat more seasonal 13.9 c, although strangely today's peak is 15.2 c at 12.10 am last night, but that was before the cold front passed over us which caused temperatures to dip to 9.1 at 8 am. Actually, that said cold front gave us 0.4 mm of rain which lead to a slightly damp morning but it's all dried up nicely now in the current 67% h and moderate north breeze.

Today has brought some cloud at times, especially towards the end of the day although there has been some good spells of sunshine as well so in the end, a total of 4.3 hours of sunshine was recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

Last night's overnight minimum temperature was 6.6°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 4°C at Edinburgh Airport and 7.0°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Today's maximum temperature was 11.7°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 12°C at Edinburgh Airport and 11.9°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

However, it has got increasingly windy as the day has gone on with maximum wind gusts at Edinburgh Gogarbank of up to 44.7mph from the west as at 8pm this evening.

As a result of that, the temperatures are now refusing to drop and so, the temperature at 8pm this evening was 10.9°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 11°C at Edinburgh Airport and 11.2°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
