Brian, I would happily pay an annual subscription for the upkeep of TWO.  I only really use the forum but I’d be lost without it and would rather contribute if it helps keep it. I don’t know what others think to this but I suspect many would do the same. 

I personally don’t mind ads if they generate an income but given a choice, I’d pay £20 to keep them off.

On the subject of YouTube, have you ever considered introducing YouTube channel membership into your channel in the manner in which Gavin P. and the guy which runs the Weekly Weather Updates channel have both done as that would be another good way of raising revenue which I'm sure that quite a few people would probably sign up to?

To check your ad status on the forum scroll down to the bottom of the page. By defaults you will see a label which simply says "Ads". Once you have disabled the message will change to "No ads".

I'm intending to keep the donation system in place but the amount required to qualify for ad free access until 31/12/2023 will reduce as the time approaches. It's also possible that I will introduce an automated subscription system which enables people to pay monthly or annually to remove ads. However, both of these things will be done in a way that doesn't disadvantage those who have already donated.

If you look at the bottom of each post below the sender's signature, you will see a pair of double quotes.

If you then press or click on that, this will then take you to the usual place for replying to that post with the original post which you're replying to also being shown as before.

There's currently a big ad featuring a mugshot of Nigel Farage at the top of the forum. If that doesn't bring in the payments for ad-free access I don't know what will!
