Seasonal outloook issued

The UK spring 2015 long range weather forecast has been issued and the headline is for a fairly typical season but with temperatures more like to be above than below the average.

The discussion forecast covering March, April and May is based on a number of inputs including seasonal computer forecasting models, pattern matching and trends during recent seasons.

There is little sign of anomalous early spring warmth with quite cold conditions likely at times in March. April showers may be back in vogue this year with a fairly typical month expected. May could bring a taste of summer.

As ever it's important to point out that because the UK is located on the border of several different air masses long range forecasts are generally considered to have a low skill level.
