October finished with the warmest Halloween on record and all months so far this year with the exception of August have brought above average temperatures. Will November follow the pattern or is a change to colder outlook on the menu?

As ever when looking more than a week or so ahead the level of uncertainty in the weather forecast increases but current indications suggest an often unsettled picture. Colder incursions are more likely in northern regions as climatology suggests.
