Issued 02/08/2014
The TWO August forecast is online and the headline is for a warmer than average month, but not a record breaker.
Rainfall amounts are expected to be close to average but with large local variations.
The summer to date has been warmer than average and there is thought to be the potential for the continental heat to push back west towards the UK at times through the month. This is most likely in the south east, but possibly more widely at times.
This now looks like being the second consecutive better than average summer.
