Precipitation type charts

Will it be rain or snow?

We've added in a new set of charts which make it much easier to see whether precipitation is likely to fall as rain or snow across the United Kingdom. The freely available charts are a great forecasting tool, and get updated every 6 hours using data from the high resolution Global Forecast System (GFS) model. To view the charts go to our Chart viewer page, select 'UK Precip type' from the column of radio buttons on the left hand side of the page, and then select the time you want to view.
