To see snow falling and accumulating in southern England during October is extraordinary. To see snow falling and settling in central London during October is almost unheard of!

Berkhamsted woke up to a blanket of snow in October!
Temperatures were well below freezing point
Amazingly there was snow in Regents Park in central London too
Contrasting with the snow were vivid autumnal colours on the trees
Not as much snow as the Chilterns, but still a covering
Is it spring, autumn or winter?
So a truly amazing weather event. Snow on the ground in central London in October. A once in a lifetime event quite probably and all the more memorable for being so.
