Mixed weather continues in the coming days but the south should often be dry. The Bank Holiday weekend looks changeable.
Tuesday starts wet in much of Scotland but through the morning drier conditions gradually spread northeastwards. Elsewhere after a murky start sunny spells develop. This afternoon heavy showery rain spreads into Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Other areas have sunny spells but a few heavy and thundery showers are possible.
Temperatures range from about 18C (64F) in the west to a very warm and humid 26C (79F) in the south. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight wet weather affects much of northern and western Britain. By the end of the some patchy rain could push into central England too.
Tomorrow the wet weather gradually moves away eastwards. Clearer and showery conditions return from the west but in the south and east a lot of cloud is likely to remain.
Thursday and Friday bring showery conditions to the west and north. The south and east should be mostly dry with warm sunny spells.
