The weather remains mixed during the next few days. Through the second half of the coming week high pressure may bring more settled conditions, at least to the south.

Sunday is off to a dry and bright in the south but there is a lot of cloud in the north. It's wet in Northern Ireland and through the day the rain steadily pushes eastwards into northern and western Britain. This morning sunny spells develop across southern counties but cloud builds in the afternoon.

Temperatures range from 12C (54F) in the north west to 21C (70F) in the south east and East Anglia. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.

Tonight clearer and showery conditions return to the north. Southern and central areas remain cloudy and there could be some patchy rain.

Tomorrow brings sunshine and showers to the north. Southern and central regions have cloudy skies and patchy outbreaks of rain.

Tuesday is expected to be cool and showery. The showers could become heavy, and in the east they may merge to give persistent spells of rain.

Wednesday is looking dry and bright in the north and west. In the south and south east there is a risk of persistent outbreaks of rain but forecast confidence is quite low.
