Wednesday begins wet in Northern Ireland, Wales and south western England. Through the day outbreaks of rain spread eastwards across all regions, and in the southern half of the UK they become heavy. Maximum temperatures range from a very cool 14C (57F) in the wet areas to 19C (66F) where it turns brighter. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight drier conditions return across the southern half of the UK but showers develop in the west. In the north showery outbreaks of rain continue.
Tomorrow brings bright spells and showers to the north. In the south there could be a few spots of rain but the cloud should break and it will feel warmer than today. The showery theme continues on Friday in the north but the south is likely to be drier and warmer.
