Changeable weather continues but in the south there should be drier periods. By next weekend high pressure may start to be more influential.
Sunday begins with outbreaks of rain clearing from eastern England. Showers are affecting western Scotland and Northern Ireland, and through the course of the day they extend across much of the country. The showers become heavy and thundery, but areas to the south east of London should avoid most of them.
Temperatures will be below average for late July, ranging from from 15C (59F) in the north to 21C (70F) in the south. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight showers continue in the west but elsewhere it becomes mostly dry.
Tomorrow brings similar conditions. Showers develop widely but the south east has a good deal of dry and bright weather. Temperatures in the south will be a couple of degrees up on today's values. The showery theme continues on Tuesday.
Wednesday starts fine in all areas but wet weather is expected to steadily push in from the west. There is some uncertainty about timing and in the east it could remain dry.
