The next few days will bring more unsettled weather. Later next week high pressure may bring an increasing chance of drier and warmer spells to southern areas.
Friday begins showery across the UK but through the morning sunny spells develop. This afternoon outbreaks of rain spread into south western England and Wales. In the north frequent and heavy showers continue, but central and eastern England should be mostly dry.
Temperatures range from 15C (59F) in the north to 20C (68F) in East Anglia. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight wet and windy weather pushes across the southern half of the UK with drier conditions returning from the west. In the north showers continue.
Tomorrow heavy showers affect Northern Ireland and Scotland. Elsewhere there should be a good deal of dry weather in the morning, but during the afternoon heavy outbreaks of rain push into southern counties. Overnight the wet conditions push northeastwards to affect much of central and eastern England. Sunday brings sunny spells but showers develop, and they could become heavy and thundery.
