During Monday and Tuesday a plume of hot air from southern Europe will send temperatures soaring. By Wednesday a thundery breakdown develops and the longer term outlook is mixed.
Sunday is off to a damp start in central Britain and elsewhere there is quite a lot of cloud cover. Through the day showers pushes into the south, and there could be a few spots of rain at the Silverstone F1 Grand Prix. There will be sunny spells too with the best of them in the north. In the far north west wet and windy weather returns later on.
Temperatures range from 15 (59F) in the north west to a humid 26C (78F) in the south. See the rainfall radar for the latest.
Tonight patchy rain pushes eastwards across central and northern Scotland, and in the south there could be a few showers. Elsewhere it remains dry.
Tomorrow warm sunny spells develop. In the afternoon it may turn cloudier in central and western areas.
Tuesday looks dry and sunny in most of the UK, although a few showers are possible. In the south temperatures could reach 30C (86F). Through the middle of the week a thundery breakdown takes place as low pressure edges up from the south. Buzz investigates the iffy outlook.
