Unsettled and cooler weather will develop in the next few days. During the second half of the week high pressure could gradually bring warmer and drier conditions back into the south.
Sunday is off to a fine start in the southern half of the UK but in the north there are outbreaks of rain. Through the course of the day England and Wales have sunny periods but isolated showers break out. Much of Scotland and Northern Ireland remain wet, but in the far north it turns brighter.
Temperatures range from 15C (59F) in the far north west to a hot 29C (84F) in the south. See the rainfall and lightning radar for the latest.
Tonight wet weather in the north pushes eastwards and edges slightly southwards. In southern and central regions thundery showers are possible but they will be hit and miss.
Tomorrow heavy and thundery showers develop. In central and south eastern areas sunny spells continue but during the course of the day cloud builds in central and western areas. The south east remains warm but elsewhere temperatures will be close to average.
On Tuesday bands of persistent rain are expected to push across southern and central regions. The north has showery conditions. It will be much cooler in the south than recently. Buzz looks at the medium term prospects.
