Low pressure keeps the weather unsettled today and tomorrow but the weekend brings an improvement. Next week looks reasonable but forecast details are uncertain.
Thursday starts wet in much of northern England and eastern Scotland. In the south it's murky and damp. Through the day wet weather pushes westwards across Scotland and into Northern Ireland. Rain also affects western England and Wales. Central and eastern areas have dry periods but showers are likely too.
Yesterday was very chilly for late June and temperatures remain disappointing today, ranging from 10C (50F) in the north to 17C (63F) in the south east. See the rainfall radar for the latest.
Tonight wet weather continues in the north and west. The south and east should be mostly dry.
Tomorrow the rain in the north and west becomes patchier. Central and eastern England have sunny intervals and showers.
Saturday brings a general improvement. Sunny spells develop and it will be warmer, but during the second half of the day cloud builds in the north west. Overnight a band of showery rain spreads southeastwards but Sunday is expected to bring sunny periods. Buzz looks ahead for better weather.
